- 1995 First use of green DPSS-laser (Diode Pumped Solid State)
- 1996 DIN EN ISO 9001 certified
- 1997 Foundation of LAP of America LC in Boca Raton, Florida (USA)
- 1998 Enlargement of production area
- 2001 Foundation of LAP Laser LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio (USA)
- 2002 Opening of sales office in Shanghai, China
- 2003 EN ISO 13485:2000 certified
- 2004 Foundation of LAP Laser Applications Asia Pacific Pte Ltd
in Singapore with sales office in Shanghai
- 2007 Additional building for offices and production in Lueneburg

The development of LAP products was the result of requests. Customers, who were not content with the precision, the reliability or the stability of available products asked if we could do better.
We could, and we did.
