| NON-CONTACT MEASUREMENT OF STRAIGHTNESS. |
Straightness measurement requires the measured object or the sensors to be moved.
Most of the times, an object is transported through the measurement system. On one side there are at least three sensors to detect the difference between a deformed part and a part just transported in a slight angle.
If the sensors have to be moved, the accuracy of the rail has great influence on the system accuracy.
In both cases, straightness can only be rated after the whole length has been analysed. Deviation is given to a virtual straight line.
