The module uses two signal inputs for connection of an encoder with 24V signal amplitude and 90° phase position between signal A and B. The pulse edges at the input are counted.
The counter has a width of 32 bit and counts up or down according to turning direction. On request from RS485, the actual value is transmitted.

Absolute value encoders can be adapted to LAP SynchroNet by using the SSI Encoder Module. The module is equipped with 2 data and 2 clock inputs, each for positive and inverted signals.
On request from RS485, the actual value is transmitted in a width of 32 bits.
