LAP laser sensors measure dimensions, either as single units or as systems.

Non-contact laser measurement doesn't leave marks or scratches on the surface.
You may measure on soft, sticky, sterile, hot or very fast objects.
Laser sensors don't know skid errors with acceleration or deceleration.
As there are no moving parts, there is no error due to wear of the measurement equipment. Maintenance only means cleaning the sensor's window, and even this can be done by an air knife.
