In the standard width measurement arrangement, two ANTARIS displacement sensors are mounted left and right of the roller table.
They are aligned perpendicular in a way, that the laser beams meet in the middle, if there is no slab in between. If there is a slab in between, width is calculated by substracting the two measured distances to the slab sides
from the known distance between the sensors.
The measuring level above roller top depends on slab movement and thickness. Normally, it will be around 100 mm. The width measurement could be interrupted, if the material is too thin or there is too much vertical movement above
the roller table. In these cases, ANTARIS BAND has to be used.
