Un positionnement du patient précis et pouvant être répété avec exactitude est essentiel pour la réussite d'un traitement par radiothérapie.

 La simulation virtuelle est le processus consistant à transférer le plan de radiothérapie d'un modèle de patient statique en 3D sur le patient à traiter. La simulation virtuelle n'est pas seulement un processus de marquage de coordonnées sur le patient, c'est une étape fondamentale pour garantir la qualité d'un traitement par radiothérapie. La validité du plan de radiothérapie est vérifiée pendant le processus de simulation virtuelle et garantit que les faisceaux de traitement puissent être alignés au volume cible prévu.

Les lasers de marquage et de positionnement sont l'interface entre le patient et la machine. Les lasers LAP offrent la plus haute précision, exactitude et reproductibilité et constituent une base fiable pour le traitement par radiothérapie.
