What makes external laser essential at a bore-type LINAC?
Topic: Linac's latest development is the bore-type design that offers many advantages for the patient and the clinical user. Experience of transit dosimetry using RadCalc EPID
Topic: This webinar covers the use of RadCalc EPID at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. Use of the system will be discussed along with examples of the types of problems that have been discovered, along with their resolution.
Speaker: Steve Colligan is head of radiotherapy physics at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness, Scotland. Having gained an honours degree in electrical and electronic engineering at the University of Edinburgh, he pursued an MSc in medical physics at the University of Aberdeen. After graduating, he worked in clinical scientist roles at both Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry and Raigmore Hospital in Inverness before being appointed to his current head of department role. In addition to maintaining a clinical role, he is actively involved in a number of the department’s projects that aim to make improvements to the accuracy of treatment delivery using tools such as transit dosimetry and surface image guidance. His other interests include radiobiology and programming.

Clinical experiences and error detectability tests with RadCalc's 3D EPID module
Topic: In this webinar, Dr. Wang will share their clinical experiences with RadCalc’s 3D EPID module. Firstly, the commissioning process of this 3D EPID module will be shown and he will demonstrate their in-house solution to fully automate the data pipeline (i.e. from the dosimetry image acquisition to the 3D dose reconstruction). He will then present the validation of the EPID 3D module, which was performed by comparing the reconstructed dose distribution both with the dose distribution calculated from the TPS, and with the phantom-based measurements. Furthermore, error detectability tests were performed and in order to demonstrate the value of the EPID-based reconstructed dose distribution, treatment plans with manually introduced errors were delivered and the corresponding dosimetric influences were evaluated with the 3D EPID module. Finally, the presentation will be summarized with potential clinical benefits from the Radcalc’s 3D EPID module.

RadCalcSuite: Patient-Centric QA Solutions: Customizing your Independent Second Checks and Treatment Delivery QA
Topic: In this webinar, we will be reviewing the results presented at AAPM of a phantom study on 1–3 cm targets volumes from SRS, lung SBRT and multi-met single isocenter treatment plans. The 3D second check results are compared with both Clarkson point dose and volumetric Collapsed Cone and Monte Carlo algorithms against Varian’s Acuros in Eclipse. The value of having an independent 3D EPID dose volume reconstruction on the planning CT using the same measurements that were used for Varian’s Portal Dosimetry computation are discussed. The study also computed the in vivo 3D EPID dose volume reconstruction against not only a chamber measurement, but back to the pre-treatment QA, second check and the TPS with a couple of clicks. The tools found in RadCalc’s single platform solution provide an automated and efficient workflow for your patient-centric treatment QA, so the entire patient journey is captured in one place. We will also be discussing the newest innovations that are just around the corner. Learn how we will expand the current technical preview of log file 3D calculations, which will be utilized in the next version to alert you to when there has been a machine delivery issue versus a patient setup error or anatomical change within the patient. Finally, we will discuss how RadCalc’s Fast Electron Monte Carlo will be integrated seamlessly into the whole picture.
